Overview
A 6 month program designed to create AI Champions inside the company. Half of this program is on AI Education and the other half is working on building a took with the group. Cross-functional members applied were admitted to the program based on creating a high motivated group of AI Enthusiasts.

AI Champions was a great opportunity to not only dive into some AI concepts that had previously eluded me (such as setting up a custom GPT) but also a chance to build a fun project with a cross-functional group of data.world employees. I enjoyed getting to connect with others, especially in this fully remote world we’re in, all whilst growing my skill set. Brandon made concepts approachable and fun, and I only wish I got to do more and that the Owl Genius project would have increased adoption!
Participating in AI Champions provided an excellent opportunity to explore the foundational applications of AI in everyday life and progressively move into more advanced use cases for both business and personal use. It offered insights into data.world’s AI vision and how the broader market views the future of AI. Collaborating with other departments across data.world was truly a fun experience. Brandon’s thoughtful approach to each session, combined education with practical, hands-on activities, like building out Owl Genius, made the program engaging and impactful!
The AI Champions group gave me intentional and directed instruction on what is possible with AI in our day to day jobs. I learned about custom GPTs, prompt writing, and the history of AI. I got to work with a diverse group of data.world employees that brought interesting perspectives and insights I wouldn't normally be exposed to. I got to make friends, learn about AI, and improve my productivity. I'd say it was worth the time investment
