What we collect, and why

When you submit the signup form we store your email address, your first name if you give one, and a record of your consent. That consent record holds the time you submitted the form, the exact wording of the checkbox you agreed to, the page you submitted it from, your IP address, and your browser's user agent string.

When you click the link in the confirmation email we store the time you clicked and the IP address you clicked from. Those two halves are what let us show, later, that a real person asked for this.

We use it for one thing: sending you the weekly Gadoci Consulting AI Brief. We do not use it for anything else, and we never sell or rent it.

If you never click the confirmation link, you are never emailed again, and the record is deleted automatically after 30 days.

We run Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device and browser information. If you send us a message through the contact or application forms, we keep what you wrote so we can reply.

Three processors, and only for the purposes above:

• SendGrid, to deliver email.
• MongoDB Atlas, where subscriber and consent records are stored.
• Google Analytics, for site usage.

Every issue carries an unsubscribe link, and most email clients also show a one-click unsubscribe at the top of the message. Either takes effect immediately and needs nothing from you but the click. No login, no form.

To have your data deleted outright rather than just stopping the email, reply to any issue or write to [email protected]. We will confirm when it is done.

Write to [email protected] or use the contact page.
